Romonia Isaac’s Creative Live Submission – Zach & Jody Gray Wedding Weekend Extravaganza

Well most of my friends now that I am a leap year baby and with being said...I am taking a huge leap!!  I am putting myself out there and hoping to be one of the six finalists chosen to attend the Zach and Jody Gray’s Wedding Weekend creativeLIVE EVENT!!! Yes I am super excited that they will be on creativeLIVE and that we will all get to stream and watch this for free–yes free–but I would SO LOVE to be there!!  I have wanted to learn off camera flash from these two for almost two years and it is SO hard getting into their workshops.  Not all of them fit with my work schedule and when one does, BOOM, sold out.   Seriously, there plus class sold out instantly at WPPI 2011.  I was bummed.  They are amazingly talented, humble and down right awesome.  I enjoyed meeting them while I was in Vegas but I would love the opportunity to learn from them with a hands-on experience like this!  Wish me luck guys!  2012 is a big year for me, as I am developing and finalizing a new brand, new website and so much more.  My fingers are crossed and I would love some of Zach’s coffee but if it’s not meant to be me, I truly hope those six individuals realize how AMAZING of an opportunity this is and are truly grateful!! First off, I would like to say a special thank you to Peggy Jiral! You my dear are amazing!  Thank you for EVERYTHING that you created, setup, designed and just for simply being you!! Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Matt & Sharon’s engagement photos and I must say it was a great session!   These two are such a cute gorgeous couple and their love shows when they are together.  They have their own way of communicating and it is hilarious that they understand one another…whether it is a noise or a look, they know what the other one is thinking!  ♥ These two share the same Alma mater, Baylor University and their jersey’s are from Freshman year 2005!!  Yes Sharon did indeed find Mr. Wright! :)  We laughed, we fought the wind, we listened to Matt’s stomach growl and we captured some really good shots!  Sharon had some of the cutest Fall ensembles and Matt’s choices were dapper as well. Here are just a FEW of the many photos that I took!  There are SO many that I love and cannot wait to share!! This is definitely part one of a Matt & Sharon blog post series! :D Sharon you are amazingly gorgeous! You truly are. You are a rare soul with a good heart–a gem.  Matt…”Matty” you are lucky to have Sharon and she is ever so lucky to have you as well!  You are a great partner, as well as person, and major props again on the ring!  Unbeknownst to Sharon, Matt custom designed her ring  and totally surprised her when he popped the question.  It is always best to catch a woman off guard guys! ;)  I wish you two the absolute best in life, love, health and prosperity.  Thank you again for allowing me to capture these moments in your lives! I must say as I sit here and type this I’m sweating!! Sounds real attractive I know but it comes with the territory! If you are going to live in Texas, you have got to suck it up, grin and bear it. So with that in mind, I’ve been spending a lot of time indoors and outdoors as well. Counting down the days when I can stare at the beach and listen to the surf has turned into a daily ritual–especially when I have an app for that!!

I haven’t blogged in quite some time. Honestly I would open the computer, go to “New Post” and yet I was always left with nothing to type. I knew I had something to say but yet writer’s block prevented me from saying it. I have been dealing with a lot of ups and downs but I know that God does not give us more than we can bear but my heart goes out to several individuals and families. Sometimes I don’t think that I can put my vulnerability out on the world wide web, especially when I don’t do it with my close friend’s. I’m always the listener and that does not bother me at all. I am lucky to have best friend’s that I can confide in and let it all out. I have found that some “friend’s” aren’t in turn my friend as much as I was theirs. We all know that type: you are constantly supporting them, providing a sounding ear with no judgment and always there to deliver a hug. It’s the little things that people no longer reciprocate.

Speaking of friend’s, I’ll be posting a blog post soon about my very good friend Ryane. We go WAY back!! Haha! I spent the holidays relaxing with her, her husband and their family. It was great! Completely laid back, food galore and happiness and positive vibes coming from all angles! Here are a few pictures from me fishing for the first time (I caught a lot but we released them as well). I love this girl and her in-laws. They are special people; truly loving, honest, dependable and genuine. Thanks again for having me over guys!

Well until next time, I promise I am getting out of this funk and I am coming back stronger than ever. Granted I am in the process of moving so we shall see how many blog posts arise from that situation…I may not hit the publish button on a few of those!! :)

Designing an album is not easy as most people may think.  Templates do help but it is still quite time consuming.  But there is nothing like taking the time to design an album, get the pictures exactly how you would like them and then…bam!  The album does not upload or uploading it is extremely weird.  Thankfully my representative called and walked me through the process on her own time.  I truly appreciated it.  I am new to this print lab and wanted to see if their albums would work best for me and my clients.  Do not get me wrong, I love the labs that I use, but it is always good to try new things. I only hope that the album turns out amazing! It’s pretty much a Boudoir studio album so we shall see how it turns out!

I love Boudoir photography and capturing a women in her very essence.  Being behind the lens and seeing this beautiful person express themselves and showing that they are confident in their skin.  Most women are nervous–who wouldn’t be–and there is a lot of funny conversation going on and then they feel relaxed, confident and gorgeous!  So I ask, do you dare to boudoir?  :)  I would!  I would love to have Kimee & Marissa of the Boudoir Divas photograph the essence of me and the woman I am.  Boudoir is not raunchy nor is it trashy.  When done properly it is extremely sexy, elegant and beautiful.  If you want to know more contact me.   Embrace yourselves ladies and dare to boudoir! ♥
